Addiction Treatment

At Drugless.org we are working to help individuals such as yourself get the addiction treatment you need to successfully overcome drug addiction, to live a clean and more fulfilling sober lifestyle. It is possible to recover from addiction on your own however for many making it past the detox period results in failure. This is typically because the withdrawal period is overwhelming. Withdrawal symptoms during detox are painful and often send the individual returning to their drug of choice for comfort. When seeking out help from an addiction treatment center you will be able to make it straight through your recovery, Drugless.org can help you get the addiction treatment you need.

Individualized Treatment

Nearly all addiction treatment centers; big and small, instate or out of state, privately owned or government run; you will receive an individualized treatment plan. This is because years of studies on drug addiction treatment has shown that no two addictions are the same and there is no cookie cutter treatment approach that will help every patient. When entering into a treatment center you will go through their assessment process where you will then be set up with an individualized treatment plan that will include various treatment techniques such as; detoxification, therapy and counseling as well as various educational programs. Each aspect to your individualized treatment plan will help you achieve your goal of sobriety.

The detox process is the first step in addiction treatment. This is because before you can begin working through the psychological addiction you must get through the physical addiction. The detox process will cleanse your body of the chemicals and toxins related to chronic drug abuse. Many experience withdrawal syndrome during detox. Under direct supervision of a medical Doctor you can receive a prescription medication to help control withdrawal symptoms and cravings, allowing you to focus on getting clean from drugs. You may require this medication long term where you will be gradually weened or you may just require it during detox, this too will be determined by your individualized treatment plan.

Therapy and Counseling

Therapy and counseling are very important aspects to the addiction treatment process. This is because addiction is not purely physical but also holds psychological aspects. Therapists and counselors will help you to work through any physiological issues you may have, they will help you to uncover the cause of your addiction and work through it, and teach you the key tools needed to maintain your sobriety. You will learn how to live without drugs, to function in a sober and healthy manor, for most this is a big adjustment because drugs have been their crutch, keeping them from experiencing raw emotions.

In addiction treatment knowledge is power. All patients are required to go through chemicals dependency education. It is important to know what your addiction is, what the addiction is doing to your body and how to live as an addict in recovery. Knowing all there is to know about addiction is important and will help you to control your cravings and keep yourself on the road to recovery, living life long sobriety.

Sharon from Ohio

Getting my life back in order was probably the most important thing in the world to me at that point. I was down and feeling hopeless. Thank god there are people who care.

Alex from Florida

I guess when you have a problem you don’t want to admit it. After pretty much destroying everything around me and getting to the point where I was homeless – enough was enough. Thanks to the support and the community that lifted me up I am not over 2 years sober.
